Emily brings a wealth of experience in the public and government sector to the Board of Trustees. She studied Political Science and International Relations at the University of Birmingham.
Since graduating, Emily has undertaken a number of projects specialising in ensuring open, accountable and democratic decision making. Through her managerial role in local government, she has recently been heavily involved in the Flood Recovery programme for the Somerset Levels and instrumental in co-ordinating the royal visit to the area by HRH The Prince of Wales.
Outside of work, Emily is the proud Mum of a 4 year old daughter and has set up a wine tasting business as well as training for the 2014 Commando Challenge.
Emily understands the need for support of military families, having a brother in law currently serving in the Royal Marines Corps.
